The Lutron GRX 3506 CE is quite a rare Grafik Eye.

From time to time when they are required there is not sufficient stock.

Accordingly Rosette Electrical have worked to find a solution for installations where GRX 3506 CE is required.

The GRX 3106 CE and GRX 3506 CE the are quite similar models, both sharing the same chassis, both providing 1 - 6 channels of phase dimming and / or switched control (configurable).

The main comparisons between the two units are set out below. In most instances a GRX 3106 CE will be a good substitution for a GRX 3506 CE.

The GRX 3106 CE is a more common Lutron Grafik Eye for which there is plentiful stock.

Notes

While the GRX 3506 CE gives can give greater level of refinement when setting a dimmed channel; the GRX 3106 CE can achieve the same max and min dim levels. The only difference is the level of detail you can fine turn between them. In reality 14 preset dimmed levels per channel is more than enough for most installations, even high end residential and art gallery installs as most light fittings will provide hardly any difference in light output between each level on the GRX 3106 CE

What if I have an existing GRX 3506 CE installed as part of a larger multi Grafik Eye install with keypads and / or if the GRX 3506 CE integrated with a control system eg. Crestron, Control 4 ?

Are the faceplates interchangable between the units

Notes

Yes the faceplates are inter changable between the units, if you have an existing faceplate on a GRX 3506 CE that you wish to retain this can be used on a GRX 3106 CE (or visa versa)
